Dr. Şükrü Elekdağ: Tarihsel Gerçekler ve Uluslararası Hukuk Işığında Ermeni Soykırımı İddiası

1979 yılından beri kamuoyunun sürekli eğitimi yoluyla Türkiye ve Amerika Birleşik Devletleri arasında yapıcı ve üretken ilişkiler kurulmasında sizlerin güvenini kazanan Türk Amerikan dernekleri tepe kuruluşu olarak, yöneticilerimiz Dr. Şükrü Elekdağ'ın Başkan Obama'ya yazdığı mektubu ve Cumhuriyet gazetesinde yayınlanan yazı serisini sizlere sunmayı bir görev bilmiştir. Kendisi, sürekli tarih araştırmaları yapan ve Türkiye’nin Washington, DC'de on yıl (1979-1989) büyükelçisi olan Dr. Elekdağ'ın Türkiye Ermenistan protokolleri konusunda konuşmaya en ehliyetli kişilerden birisi olduğunu düşünüyoruz. Kendisinin aynı zamanda Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi’nde bir muhalefet milletvekili olmasını göz önünde bulundurarak, ATAA'nın Türkiye iç politikasına karışmak gibi bir arzu veya zihniyetinin asla olmadığını ve yayınlanan görüşlerin yazarına ait olduğunu burada tekrar saygılarımızla hatırlatmak isteriz.
